You’d probably heard of Payoneer before. It’s a leading financial technology company with headquarters in New York, providing online money transfer, digital payment services and working capital.

Their story began with a strong vision: to democratize access to global commerce for businesses of any size in any location. Since 2005, they have powered the growth of millions of small and medium businesses and built a financial platform that connects the world.

However, our story today focuses on another, interesting development of Payoneer’s exciting work. And it has to do with real, accessible and positive impact.

Connecting purposes, creating synergies

Everything started when our team at Bridge for Billions met Faith Frank, the Head of Social Impact and ESG at Payoneer.

With extensive experience in corporate citizenship and community relations, Faith is committed to aligning social impact efforts with corporate goals and strategies – which means that her job is about spearheading the company’s impact strategy and leading the newly formed Payoneer Foundation.

After some interesting conversations, Payoneer settled a collaboration with Bridge for Billions to create an incubation program that will help entrepreneurs thrive and unlock their full potential as business owners in the Philippines.

It is set to benefit up to 70 Filipino entrepreneurs nationwide.

But why?

We're going to show how Payoneer can help entrepreneurs with their businesses and how our financial solutions can benefit them. But the goal is really to help them grow business. And whether or not they use Payoneer, it still helps the global economy. And that's what we're committed to doing.

Aligning mission, vision and impact

At Payoneer, the mission of empowering entrepreneurs (in this specific case, we’re talking individual freelancers, freelance agency owners, and SME BPO owners) is deeply ingrained in the company’s culture. And that’s key to a successful impact strategy. Faith emphasizes how she envisioned a social impact strategy merely built upon the company’s mission, aiming to support and enhance the growth of small businesses worldwide.

Creating this sort of connection between your audience, future customers and the way the company positions itself towards the world lays the basis for the revolution of how companies are doing CSR right now.
